Nice vid, but boy they sure need to repave that road. Lots of rips/tears in the pavement, makes for what looks like a fairly rough ride.

In my experience, that road condition is "typical" of both highways and race tracks in the US. Bumpy and inconsistent pavement with lots of patch work.

Nice roads and racetracks are an extraordinary exception, and don't stay that way long, either.

The only Route 106 I know in New York runs from Bellmore up into Oyster Bay... and it looks NOTHING like this.

Where in New York is THIS Route 106??

Jdugg, come up north and run either Monticello Motor Club or New Jersey Motorsports Park - both new facilities with pristine surfaces!

Nice vid Richie. I would love to see some pics of your mount set-up. I am always looking for new mount ideas.

The only track I've ever been on that was "like buttah" is Barber motorsports park.

The tracks around here (TX) are bumpy, bumpy, bumpy.

I'd love to make it up north some day, but it's a land far, far away : )

Jaimec - The road is in Harriman state park just north of zip 10974.

Crazyhawk99 - I got the cam mounted on side of the front fender. I will upload a pic later.

The roads might be bumpy and rough but a least the not long flat and level.

Hey, thats what roads in SE WI, and NE IL look like. They're all straight, with few turns though.
Wish I had curvy road like that.......
Even if it was all beat up, it's still more fun than a straight line.......

Richie,

I can see where it's mounted, but not how. Do you have any closer pics of the method you mounted it or can you describe it? From your video, it looks to be a good location, other than the bumps, which we can chalk up to road condition.

I replaced the fender bolt. I got a new bolt that was 2 ' long. I threaded the new bolt from the inner rim side of the fender out. I than double nutted the bolt to the fender. Than I can screw the cam to the bolt. I got the same setup for my xb12r now. Im going to go another road that is much smoother Im just wait for a light traffic and smokey free day.
