I want to put the front and rear
suspension from the XB on the 1125CR.
I think the challenge is the stock exhaust on the CR. There's not much room to droop the swingarm any further. A Barker's exhaust does 'buy' you some clearance though.... |

I agree with Sekalilgai,
Not only is there very little room with the exhaust, but the shock itself is sitting right on the frame practically. Adding shock length(if it would even bolt up), would add angle and you possibly would have issues of the coil hitting the frame and the swing arm.
Also take a look at this pic. Imagine how strange the bike would look if you raised the ride height any more. Talk about a extreme angle with the swing arm. As if its not angled down enough as it is!

Here is a little update, I finished my dash mounting plate. It is mounted to two stock uly dash mounting points with ss 1/4-20 button heads and nylon lock nuts in back. The 1125 ic is mounted like stock with rubber gromets. The lower right is not level with the right and required a spacer to sit flat. The plate is made from 1/8" aluminum. I may use the exposed mounting point as a ram ball location in the future. That's why I used such thick material.

Received my Precision Engineering Fat bar clamp conversion this afternoon, and couldnt resist throwing it on. What a nice piece PE makes. I have never bought anything from them and am very impressed by their fit and finish.
because of the reduced pull back it seems like the lines fit better then with just the S bars. If you look at the straight on shot their is a ton of slack now on the clutch line where it was very tight with the S bars. So I guess if anyone was wondering if they could get a 1" rise out their high bars, it worked for me. Whether the Cr front fairing makes a difference I do not know though.
I didnt get a chance to ride, I will in the morning. But they feel much more comfy on my wrists.
Also put the hand guards on. Now I just need to get my tree PC'd black to complete the look.

I thought those screws looked funny. 
I got 3 ram mounts on my 1125R so far, working on adding more. I ended up using doublesided tape to hold on the tire pressure monitoring system. |

Ha, your crazy! I dont have use for all of them. I would like to use the one mounting point on the dash for my GPS, and one on the clamp for my phone(for music). I dont really see a need for anything else. I guess I can see myself using the bar clamp for my Contour camera on our group rides as well. You can get the clamp with or without the tapped holes. I figured why not?
So as a update I just need to finish tidying up the electrical components under the seat, and remaking my brackets mounted to the inside of the seat rails. I bought a cheap HF bar and round stock bender to do a nice clean job. Sure beats a vice and hammer!
Otherwise I am just waiting for my bags to come Friday. Once I have them I can see how I would like to tackle the passenger pegs. I thought I would use the OEM hard bag brackets to locate where the stock uly passenger pegs would be. I really never ride 2 up, but I would like to have the option considering I have that big passenger seat! |

Ha, that would be crazy. A 1125 with some big fat nobbie tires. I dont think they could even keep traction with that motor! |

Got my bags in today, so I popped on the side bags to see how they looked. I need to figure out what to do with the passenger mount brace. I can't decide if I want to try to adapt the 1125 pegs to the uly subframe. I literally never ride 2 up, so I am leaning against it. I think I may just bend another arc like the rear brace for the front. Anyone have a better idea?

Nicely done. With the exception of the pods (although let's not have that conversation), that is the bike Buell should have built. Oh well...nicely done! |
