Well, i posted a few weeks ago that back in January a car pulled out in front of me while i was riding and ended up t-boning the front end of her car. Windscreen broke into a few pieces, headlight assembly completed demolished, front fairing mount had all mount points broken....and so on.

I also stated that when i turned the key everything acted like it wanted to start but when i hit the start button, NOTHING. I've read that if you pull the fuse for the headlights the bike wont start, so would i it be a good assumption that with the headlight assembly being destroyed that would cause it not to work.

I've ordered a ton of new parts for my bike and cant wait to get back to the states and start putting her back together, and it looks like it will be an easy task, just time consuming.

I've ordered an Erik Buell Racing ECU w/barker tune, Barker Exhaust, front fairing mount, front fairing, windscreen, headlight assembly, forks (just in case the old ones are bent which i dont think they are), service manual, parts manual, and going to be getting a HID kit for my low beams soon.

With that said, there will be TONS of 'How To' threads come january/february of putting all those things on a bike. Figure if i have to do that much work on my bike, might as well take tons of pictures on how to put everything on so i can spread the knowledge to everyone else. Plus it will show the progress on the repairs. I love working on my bike and learning how it ticks : )

The only thing that keeps stopping me from thinking that it will be so easy is that fact that it wouldn't start. If i can just ease my mind on that, i'll be able to sleep better for the next couple months

You probably shorted the headlight wires in the wreck, blowing the fuse, and keeping it from starting - just like pulling the fuse.

that eases my thoughts a lot thinking of that and you agreeing Rat. I've literally been pondering over what would cause it not to start since January 8th this year.....OVER 9 MONTHS, and i just read my first 'no fuse for lights, no start' thread about 2 weeks ago but never put 2 and 2 together until last night.
