During my first oil change, I noticed a bolt (or bolts) missing from the front the engine block. Did these just rattle out?

I never had anything there , so I used them to mount the belly pan I made .

That's encouraging. They're certainly scuffed. Something was there at one point.

fairings mount into that starboard hole. I believe they were originally empty, but I'm not positive

+1 to what Boogieman said. On my bike, the right side hole looks like it has been empty since day one.

The left side is definitely missing this bracket:

Is that an '08 piece? Doesn't look like anything is there on the '10.

And how did you post that picture? I can't get my tags to work.

You're using the wrong tags, read here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/disc us.cgi?pg=formatting

Those holes are used to mount the brackets that hold the factory side fairings for 1125r models.

My bike is an '08, though I cannot say if the piece was limited to that year. Also, if you look at the bracket mount points, I'm not sure what the heck its purpose is supposed to be.

That bracket is not on 09-10 bikes. Must have deemed it unnecessary.

I'm pretty sure that's where the factory turbo was mounted.
You should take it back to the dealership and make them replace your missing turbocharger.

Hmmm...25th Anniversary, Erik Buell Signature Series bracket. Sorry guys, but you can't have one on your '09-'10 models.
