I was wondering if you guys think that this or any Buell 1125r will ever be worth $8K??? Is this unrealistic? Should I just hold onto it until its considered a classic?

Not sure if my price point is unrealistic but I thought I'd give all of you out in Badweather Buell fans a first chance opportunity to purchase my customized '08 Buell 1125r with only 2266 miles! I am selling due to my lack of riding and time to ride. I might look at getting a Cruiser next year but for now I'd like to get it to someone who will ride this beauty more than I have or will.

Anyway, here are all the goodies:
1. Brand New '09 Instrument Cluster that shows you what gear your in (Have Receipt, just replaced by dealer). Not sure why they replaced it but they did it went I took it in for the brake line recall a month ago.
2. Official Buell Racing Vanson leather jacket (Size Large Tall, I'm 6'3" so it fits me great!). Everyone knows Vanson is the best leather you can buy and this is no exception. This is a $650 jacket that they discontinued in 2009.
3. Buell Racing OEM Ohlins Steering Damper. Bought for $525, I still have box and receipt/installation instruction.

4. Black billet aluminum tail piece eliminator from Precision Engineering.
http://www.preeng.com/xcart/product.php?productid=25&cat=5&page=1
5. Buell OEM Belly Pan with custom made brackets and bolts. Painted the brackets flat black (not pictured) and the belly pan was painted Black myself to match the rest of the bike.
6. LED Tail Light Kit with Smoke Lens and Integrated turn signals (I still have the OEM signals laying around somewhere).
7. Buell OEM STREET FLAME FULL FACE HELMET (Size Small, Buell # 99464-09BM).
http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/apparel/product.asp?Menu_ID=1&CategoryID=6&ProductID=4242
8. Powder Coated the kick stand flat black (not pictured) to look really nice with the belly pan.
9. DarkHorseMoto Black Axel Sliders front/rear.
10. Free Spirits Paddock Stand Bobbins (not installed yet).
11. Pit Bull Front (not pictured) and Rear wheel motorcycle stands. I never stored on its tires so no flat spots would develop.
12. Updated ECM to M3HUS062

Bottom line this is a very well maintained Buell 1125r that has never ever been dropped and was broken in properly. I had Harley do the first oil change and tune up at 1000 miles (I have all receipts). I just bought 3 quarts of screaming eagle oil and a filter to do the second oil change myself. It has always run on premium fuel only and has always been garage kept with a trickle charger on it for the winters.

I bought it back in July 2008 from Detroit Harley for $12,800 (A lot of money back in the day ). The bike and I are now located in Arlington, VA (Washington, DC area) so if you would like to come by and take it for a ride let me know. Also, let me know if you would like more pictures. PM me with any additional questions.

I am asking for $8,000.00 obo understanding that the 2010 bikes can be had for that price. However, this is the blue flame 25th anniversary edition with all the goodies included.

Note: Photos were taken at the end of last summer. It was an overcast day in DC today but everything is the same except I powder coated the kick stand flat black and painted the brackets for the belly pan. Also, I do have the stock little black Buell clutch cap/slider installed even though it is shown without it in the pics.

- Chris

Very nice bike, but yeah, a little high on the price. And don't hold your breath on it becoming a classic. Not anytime soon anyway.

Good job with the mods. It looks great.

Sorry, man, but I just don't see it happening. IMO it's worth that, but I don't see the market thinking the same.

In a moment of weakness or temp insanity I listed my bike, and it was during summer, I have $1500 in tasteful mods & it had 600 miles, just serviced, and I'm in MD, & at $6000 asking I had 2 bites, both deals fell thru when they couldn't actually get the $. Which was a blessing cause I'm keeping this baby.

But, FWIW, your mods are great, bike looks great, nicely done. Good luck with whatever you do.

You're better off removing the addons and selling a stock bike.

I wouldn't add the jacket and helmet in on any bike deal, maybe offer them to the purchaser for extra, but really, you would just be giving them away with the bike. (although a used helmet is worth about as much as used socks, IMO)

Also, the chances of the next purchaser being the right size for both items is very small.

There is a real market for the Buell Vanson jackets, and you would probably do really well with it on eBay.

I would also say the same thing about the stands. They are nice, but not increasing the value of your sale for what they cost. Sell them separate.

Just calling it how I see it.
Off the non-attached items, and sell the bike at it's street value, hopefully you will make up some of the difference with the accessories sales.

Thanks for the insight! I will be posting the Vanson Jacket on ebay so look forward to a link.

Also, look forward to the Ohlins Damper and Belly Pan being listed in the near future.

Note: Vanson is the Shit! Don't know how many of you own a Vanson but I will never ever buy another brand of leather again!
