Has anyone ever put the HMF/Race ECM combo on a dyno? I've done some searching and looked through the shootout documents but I'm not finding anything.

I really like the looks and sound of both cans, but if their isn't a big HP difference between the two, I'd just as soon buy the HMF from Erik Buell Racing and support the cause you know. My bike is already faster than I am, I figure if one isn't a whole lot better than the other, I won't notice the diff.

I can't speak for the hmf, never heard it. As far as hp comparisons go, check out the 1125r/cr exhaust shoot out at Americansportbike.com. The big advantage the Barkers has if this is a street bike the different silencer inserts make the sound more adjustable. Also, again I can't speak for the hmf, but the Barkers build quality is top notch.

Yeah I really like the Barkers. And the HP gains are impressive. I bet the gains are even better now that Erik Buell Racing has a specific flash for that can. But the HMF is a good looking pipe too. And sounds great. If I can support them and their not be a big power diff then I'd like to go the HMF route.

I mean honestly the bike is much, much faster than I am stock. The Barkers showed a 15+ hp gain to the rear wheel over stock, and with the E.B.R. ECM it's just bliss. The sound is nice -- as I'm sure the HMF can is as well -- and the smoothness is just tranquil as well. Off idle is butter smooth. I just chose the Barker over the HMF/Jardine/Apex because it retains the underslung mount. Either way, great bike, both ways, no matter what

just installed the Barker,Erik Buell Racing ecm to match and K&N filter on my 2009cr It's so much smother and lower torque. I ordered both silencers but I like the barker sound stock. Talked to Erik Buell Racing and they said to just plug & play the ECM. Not a single problem.
