Looks like that race-ready 1125R went up quite a bit - Dang!

If only Erik Buell Racing would sell the body kit as a stand alone product.

i went to flexi-glass and the first thing I saw was the ram air sides with the following comment:
"the rad ram air is 15- 20 pounds lighter than stock and makes the bike run around 20 degrees cooler"

The key part being 20 degrees cooler. Are the pods part of the 1125's heat related electrical problems?

The question was "do they sell that body work" and the answer is "yes".

The question wasn't "should I try it on my street bike?" ; )

As a user of that bodywork, I can say it works as advertised. I'm suspicious of the 20lb savings, but I could believe 10.

Remeber, Erik Buell Racing sells.... RACE bikes. ; )

Highly, highly UN-likely.

There's not "no way", it's just not part of their design.

There's plenty of space for even the OEM fans up in there if you were to fabricate a different mounting strategy.

And, probably still benefit from the cooler running bike and WAY cooler frame.

I think you may be confusing this bike with the track day bike that Erik Buell Racing has for about $10.5k. This is the full AMA Daytona Sportbike prepped bike, and to my knowledge, has always been about $16k.

Ironically, they don't list the track day bike on their website.

Nice speakers, those are the logitech z-5500s? I bet they sound amazing, i have the z-5300's, but yours have double the power. Your neighbors must love you.

Jdugger - You are probably right.

My experience has been that as the engine temperature rose the electrical system issues began.

The weather in Oregon has cooled down quite a bit, since the heat wave is over the bike's electrical's have been flawless. My electrical issues arose in the heat when engine temperatures reached their historical high.

Any trick for better cooling in hot times is OK with me.

Eh, I have many a track day on both my 08 and 09 with the temps banging off the indicator at 230 down here in the Texas heat.

You get used to it. The bikes don't seem to mind, either.

Dk, not yet, thats going to be my next upgrade. I used to run dual Radeon 3870's, but I had a power supply failure last winter that took one of them out. I got a free 2400XT from work, so I am using that to run two of the monitors along with the working 3870. The two monitors on the sides are 27" Asus, the middle is a 30" Dell, top is a 20" Dell, and the little one is a 7" USB monitor which I was gonna mount on the bike.

Yup good eye, it is a Z-5500. I tend to buy overkill things, I have never cranked it up more than about 25% of max volume, it is still loud then!

with the ram air panels, couldnt you just reverse the fans to blow instead of suck in the air, the same as the B2 panels, and still get the same effect?

Froggy, are you going to move your reservoir out side the window for the intense gaming sessions this winter? 30deg water would help keep your rig cool.
