I took it to Goe HD in Angelton Tx. It took a little over two weeks, but I am pleased with the work they did!! They did not have Mobil 1 20/50 so they put in Amsoil 20/50. Not to get an oil thread started, but has anyone had any issues with this oil??

IMO, Amsoil is superior to Mobil 1 although M1 V-Twin is a good oil too, about the only M1 product I would ever use.

What were the symptoms of a bad water pump, please?

PS--Amsoil rocks, they did you a favor!

Just had my coolant pump replaced last week. They had for 2 days all good so far. Mine was starting to leak from the weep hole. No exhaust removal and didn't have to rotate motor forward. Williamsport MD. Buell/HD

1buell, you may want to look for a plug in the weep hole, You need to rotate and remove the rear head pipe to remove the water pump. The entire clutch cover needs to come off.
If they did not rotate the engine they did not do the job.
Fresno, You will see a trail down the right side, under the headers, There is a small hole If you have it you will see it, hard to miss.

Bobbuell, Goe HD did rotate my engine, I went to look at it when it was done! A lot of parts were replaced... The reason it took so long is, they forgot to order a gasket for some part?? and had to wait for it. I also went ahead and had the spark plugs changed while engine was rotated..

1buell, I agree with Bobbuell in that They would have to be magic to do that job without taking the exhaust off... A lot of parts were off my CR on the right side!!!

They did have the clutch cover removed. I was there when they put it back on. Just loosen the exhaust at heads.

1buell, It looks as though they took the bolts out of the header pipe, and rotated the pipe a little at the muffler clamp for room!! You sure proved me wrong!! In my situation the dealership rotated my engine..

They were going to rotate it forward and replace plugs while in there, but he relized he could do it without rotating. Would have had it back the same day but he had to leave early. They have been pretty good to me(Buell owners).
