Rodrob, That is like asking for a trade secret. You'd have to be pretty high up on the food chain at most corporations to even have access to every part of a particular product. In most cases designers just have access to the sub assemblies they work on and nothing more. Think of it in terms of "need to know". | ||

I'd venture that the .dwg's for the original design would be somewhere between fat and slim on your chances of legal acquisition - proprietary and protected. We have survey-grade LIDAR at our shop - that gear allows you to nail down anything visible to sub-millimeter accuracy (XY&Z), and pretty cost-effectively, too. I would decline any "design duplication" work, but I'm sure someone has thought of it (those unscrupulous off-shore manufacturers). | ||
