Frog -

One day I'd like to sit down over some cold ones and just swap war stories. When I lived in La. some years ago, snow was a novelty - BUT - we used to get some really vicious ice storms - rain, then temp would drop 30 in 10 minutes, resulting in 2-3" of clear water ice (that would be black ice to you) over everything. Tried to ride home from a local establishment one night - only 4 times down - good thing (or bad thing?) I was maybe a little self-medicated, or a couple of those would have really hurt....

Well I'll be honest,

I'm kind of jealous of that guy. Imagine being content all winter to just clean that bike in your basement.....and if you really want to bend your mind...imagine having a wife or girlfriend who doesn't mind you goofing off all winter in the basement with your motorcycle. Pretty wild if you ask me!

Stirz, if you want to hear Froggy's crash stories, better set aside more than one day. : )

So are you saying he's a bad influence?

I think I've got about 7,500 miles on my '09 CR, picked up in Oct of '08.

a) In the time I've owned it I've had between 1 and 3 other bikes in the garage

b) I work from home most days, and when I don't I have a 1.5 mile commute, so no bikes. I used to put a LOT of miles in riding to and from work or school.

c) I used to ride with a friend nearly every weekend who lived 45 miles away in the mountains, so there was 90 miles round trip - he moved closer and doesn't ride much anymore.

d) it's a pain in my ass to take care of this new-to-me house on my own.

Thankfully, I ditched a truly poisonous chick and found someone else, who in addition to being way hot also loves to ride with me, so we've been able to log some more miles that way.
