Do any of you clutch weep victims have a composite photo of the different clutch cover revisions? I fortunately didn't have the weep, but unfortunately took a nasty highway spill on monday. I did a few searches with the gauzed up hands and all that I could turn up was that the pegasus button points in different directions from one revision to the next. My button is all but gone - and the cover is ground down so there isn't even a weep hole anymore.

Also are the clutch hydraulic guts interchangeable from one cover revisions to the next?

Now onto the dish... Got a semi tire tread wedged between the muffler and front tire at speed causing the bike to wash out to the left. I unfortunately went over the bars and to the right doing a face plant onto the pavement. I'm OK - nothing broken or sprained, but rashed up in the areas I wasn't wearing leather. Commuting from the office job so full gear wasn't on the menu for the day - will be from now on... Lesson learned - the hard way.
Bike faired pretty well in general - minor stuff like brake lever, foot peg, mirror, pod rash, etc. Chalk lined the front and rear tires and looks like the forks and triple tree are still true to the front tire. Also spun the wheel and didn't notice and flats or wobbles on the rim so I think I made out pretty good all things considered.

Anyway - any help you all can provide would be appreciated. Trying to gauge whether to fix myself or turn into the insurance.
Thanks much.

Sorry to hear about your spill. Hope you heal up well. Not sure on the clutch cover revisions.

If your clutch cover puck is the same size as the stator side, you have cover "A".

If it's larger, you've got "B".

DO NOT RIDE UNTIL YOU GET THE VENT HOLE OPENED BACK UP!!!! The pressure will build up and blow out the seals. This happened to me, less than 800 miles after my clutch repair.

I figure it probably was since you have an 08 and you didn't have it in for a leaky clutch. The rev B cover wasn't standard equipment until 09.
