Finally got the bike to the track and found out that I usually hit the rev limit before I see the tach needle turn red. Between trying to launch hard, keep the front down and keep track of the rpm I really didn't have a good pass. Any suggestions on an aftermarket shift light that is more visible? Would strapping down the front end help keep the front wheel down? The bike ran good just needs a good rider to see what it can do. Did have lots of fun and didn't break anything! | ||

We all know the dreaded power loss at redline, so to short shift will gain rather than lose. What I'm trying to say is when you feel the front end getting light, shift! I HAVE TWO shift lights one for launching set at 5000rpm and one for shifting 10000rpm big one by stewart warner ,small one by msd which is easy to fit just clips on to coil stack wire  | ||

I was attempting to drag race the bike, just for fun with some friends. Littlebutquick, I like the lights you have, I might have to get the smaller one. I really wish that the stock cluster had a normal shift light built into it. I took the cluster all apart last night in hopes of adding an external LED to the internal one that turns the needle red. If it turns out worth a crap I'll post some pictures. | ||

mike1125r runs the smaller msd shift light and got me mine and shipped it over he got it from jegs  |
