Ok so im driving in to work and again i feel like a roasted turkey. Air temp is 30c (84f) IC airbox temp read 56C (138F) at a stop light however the radiant heat was insane on the left side of the bike. what does your bike read when your stopped at a red light. It was not stop and go as i had just come off the freeway | ||

In stop and go traffic with ambiant air temp around 27c Ill useualy see my inlet air temp sitting in the mid 40's to low 50's on occassion. hope that helps you out. | ||

nice cool air on way home and CT was 85C (185) talked to dealer and since sold a total of 2 they aren't certain what normal is.. | ||

Yesterday from 3:30pm to 5:00pm I was steady at 190F+ and at 201F for 15 minutes or so. Riding pretty hard, not stop and go. Ambient temp was pushing 100F. Don't know about the heat index. X bikes' oil temps have been 230F+ this week, same conditions. Side note; volts at 12.1 to 15.2 averaging high 12's to low 13's. I have no idea what any of this means but it was a wonderful ride and the bike ran great. Gonna do it again today. | ||

I commute on my CR daily, in actual temps in the 90's. Coolant is typically in the upper 180's to just shy of 200. I'd say normal. I have observed that people have different calibrations for what's hot for them. What one finds unbearable, others see as normal. A fellow I know has a CBX with that big honkin transverse 6, and just got an R. He's like, "what are all the comments about heat on the 1125 board about?" There's always another level... Rob | ||

From what I have seen ... CT = Outside AIR + 100 degrees F .... If it's 75 outside ... CT will be 175. If it's 95 outside ... CT will be 195. This is of course steady cruise with good air. Lights and traffic bump the CT number up significantly. | ||

Dmhines, those are the exact observations I made while on my recent 3500 mile road trip. With the exception that even in cooler temps it never really drops much below 160 degrees F once warmed up. | ||

If I remember right the thermostat starts opening at 160 then the first fan at 170 and the second at 180. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. | ||

I frequently see AT in the mid to high 130's F and CT in the lower 200's F at stop in around town riding (which is most of my riding). | ||

Original both fans came on at 170.6°f but with the stater update and flash. The left fan turns on at 173° and the right at 205° on my bike now that is. | ||

I just had the harness and cali can done Im guessing its the left rad opening up thats roasting my left leg. Never noticed the heat when both were on | ||
