I need to get an AMB transponder for my 1125 racer (WERA, SMRI, & MRA use them). I want to get the wired type and plug it into my accessory wiring along side of my Starlane Athon. But I don't know how to figure out if the electrical system can handle it. Any suggestions?

BTW I really don't want to use the battery type. I don't want the xtra detail to worry about on race weekends.

There's a bloke on UKBEG who bought a big bag of the connector components. I forget who it was (I got some off him) but Pash will know.

One thing to keep in mind, if your voltage drops below a certain point, power to the accessory plug will be cut off.

The AMB on requires something like 30ma to run. It's an incredibly light load.

I hooked my Starlane GPS-II to the accessory port and it works well.

The comment about the battery is accurate technically but largely unimportant in practice. With no fans, lights, or other electrical accessories on the bike, I find I can leave my key on for over an hour and the battery won't drop below 13.2.
