So, TV is on in the background and TMZ is playing. They start talking about Orlando Bloom "having it all together, blah blah blah" and they caught him getting off his motorcycle - I glanced up to see what he was riding and, low-and-behold, he has a black 1125 CR. Anyone else seen any 1125s on TV?

yup..
Show called "1001 Ways to Die"

Couple goes out for a ride to "relieve" her stress of a long day at work...

Nice V-twin vibes = Big O.

Big O = Falling Off Back Of Bike.

Falling Off Back of Bike = Death During Orgasm.

Perfect way to die.

Very cool. Those Brits take their motorsports seriously and have great tastes. Ever watch Top Gear? Ever read EVO magazine or MCN?

I so wonder why our country that is almost 7 times larger than theirs has such crappy Auto/Moto TV shows and magazines...

Because "we" would rather see a Mustang GT turned into a lawn mower than a show about real cars with a little thought behind it.

I dig Top Gear a lot. Too "smart" for US popularity??

Its really a shame to destroy a new bike but if you watch the show Sliced I was told they will be cutting an 1125R apart.

Top Gear - best car show ever IMO. If they don't like the car, they are particularly unkind - unlike here, where it's always 'great, great, great'. Wouldn't want to offend a sponsor don't ya know.

Top Gear can be particularly vicious about bad things the cars do, or good things they don't do. How is that NOT popular here?

There was an episode where they were in the U.S. and wanted to test a Challenger, but Dodge wouldn't give them a demo because TG had been unkind to the 300. So they just went out and bought their own and proceeded to thrash it. It's nice that there's a car show where they can actually drop the fluff and run the car through its paces and tell you what is not so good on the car.

Top Gear is awesome. Brit humor and fast cars. That's pretty much as good as you can get on non-R rated TV.

Over here in the UK we regard Top Gear with derision - Clarkson doesn't like bikes and tends to stick his nose in where it is not welcome regarding bike safety, but at least the Hamster and James May do.
James May is seen often at the Thundersprint event in Cheshire in May each year.

Dirty_John - I've seen and read about Clarkson's disdain for motorbikes. He's generally a douche so it's not surprising. When Ewan McGregor was on the show, the discussion inevitably came down to Ewan's love of bikes, and of course Clarkson started with "Oh, here we go..." and followed up with "Why on Earth would you want to do that".

Their reviews on cars are pretty fun though. The Brit auto-show presenter I love the most is Tiff Needell of Channel Five's Fifth Gear, he has a racing pedigree and can outdrive Clarkson and accurately describes what is great about the cars he reviews. The best part of Tiff is that he loves all motorsport and even tried his hand on bike around a track. On an episode of Fifth Gear he went to a motorcycle race school and was all excited to try and get his knee down, studying racing videos the night before. Apparently, the school was his first time on a sportbike and he did indeed get his knee down, and eventually crashed trying even harder! Massive props!

Not everyone in the UK treats Top Gear with derision - I think it's awesome. The Vietnam special was something else and they all rode "bikes" in that.

The USA special was really funny too. Having to buy a car just to test it because the manufacturer wouldn't loan them one... too funny.

I think the fact that they're so blatant about their individual "biase" is very good, if they don't like something they'll say so and tell you why, it still gives you an opportunity to disagree with their opinion if you don't think you'd feel the same way.

It's one of the best shows on TV - pity the series finished last night : (
