if i remember correct this is how redline(stock) mph on an 1125r per gear is:

1st: 73mph
2nd: 92mph
3rd: 124mph
4th: 142mph
5th: 156mph
6th: 175mph

Froggy made an excel sheet with everything on it, but idk where its at.

I couldn't get my CR to redline in 6th gear. Too much wind drag maybe? And I have an aftermarket exhaust that limits peak power to about 120hp from what I have been told.

I've had my 1125 up to 9,500 so far. I've had my XL1200S (converted to an Axtell 88") well past 7,000 (>140 MPH), and I've had my Twin Cam 95" to 8,000 once, and no problems yet.

I'm from the school of thought that manufacturers set the 'redline' on motor vehicles at more or less the top RPM the motor can be expected to be run indefinitely without unusual levels of service required or a lack of reliability.

Neighbors say that in some race classes the 1125s are allowed (required?) to run upgraded connecting rod bolts so they don't come apart. Apparently when you get those big pistons running fast they want to jump right out of the head!
