which is better an 1125r or 1125cr ecu, i have both and was wondering which is best i understand there have different programs but which makes most hp, pros vs cons etc???

They are both the same. Only difference is the programming for the different gear ratios.

um...yeah. Although the Erik Buell Racing website says "1125 models, all years" on their ECMs, I seem to recall they need to know what year the bike is so they can put the right fuel data in the map.

Hence the different factory update flashes for the '08 versus the '09.

I know but what affect good or bad would it be for me to install the 1125r ecu on my 1125cr, i know they are the same minus different programs, but whats the difference, really is the 1125r better?

Rat, Erik Buell Racing confirmed on here that the 08 and 09 bikes both use the same programming on the Race ECM.

Poppawheelie, there is no "better". If you have a CR, get the CR one. Getting the wrong one will make your speedometer incorrect due to the different gear ratios. The rest of the programming is the exact same. I can turn the R ECM into a CR ECM in about 5 minutes by changing only one setting.

Careful.

2008 ECMs will not have tuning for the stator control harness on 2009/10 bikes.

Also, I can confirm that at the very least EARLY Race ecms for 2008 1125r did NOT have this programming either.
