My 1125CR is still at the dealer since it wouldn't idle properly. Luckily they were able to replicate the problem easily and quickly. Apparently the tech is stumped. This doesn't surprise me as I did all the diagnostics I could according to the service and electrical manuals. They called HD, but have had trouble getting in touch with them. This completely sucks as it is GORGEOUS motorcycle weather.

Just wanted to vent.

If it makes you feel any better my bike was damaged in a low side May 3rd. Still no WAG on when parts will arrive but frames take 6 - 8 weeks.

If it makes you feel better my bike sat at the dealer for 3 months during our non-rainy season...

How is it idling?

Hopefully they've checked for a failing injector, bad sensor, exhaust leak, or intake leak.

Idling? That is why it is there. It would stall while idling and returning to idle at 0 throttle. Not sure what diagnostics they have performed.

Ummm.. Hate to say this but if the fault has and can be replicated it shouldn't take more than an hour or 2 to figure out with proper tools.
Ask them if they have hooked up a fuel pressure gauge and watched what happens to it when it shuts off

Mike,
The ECM can monitor fuel pressure. Fuel pressure is beautifully consistent right through the points of failure. I have proper tools, and proper skills. They only thing I didn't have to diagnose that the dealer MIGHT have is access to parts swapping. I promise this is a stumper.

Rumor is they are 99% sure they suddenly know what it is. "We had some kind of electrical issue"..."Now we have 'A' engine light to deal with". I SHOULD have my bike back Tuesday.
