Why do you have to replace the frame again?

I have to replace the frame because it has a small hole in it that can't be properly repaired.

The hole is the thanks to a wreck, the clubman bars bent into the frame, and the pointy part of the clubmans put a hole in my frame. I now have the highbars.

mountainstorm,
I am going to pull the frame off the top of the engine, so yes, the engine and swingarm will be the only items left on the lift. Then i have to go to my dealer and swap out the fuel pump into the new frame.

Will there be VIN issues?

Dk

Be alert to what DMV will do as far as reissue. If you're lucky, they'll just adopt the new frame VIN as the vehicle VIN and you're good to go. Some states, however, will issue a new VIN plate that has to be attached to the frame by a certified shop. You need to be very particular about where that plate is attached, since they usually drill frame and rivet it on...hopefully you won't have to do that, but if you do, be sure they don't drill a hole in your brand new tank.

thanks stirz007,
I was thinking about that. I do have to be very careful with where they attach the plate.
