Been so busy at work, haven't had time to update crotchrocket.tv so I thought I would post it here.
Low side at the Streets of Willow Spring in practice lap.
If you want to see stills of the damage, go to -
http://crotchrocket.tv/CrotchRocket/NEW.html
I fixed the bike that night and returned the next day to take two firsts in Novice Battle of the Twins Heavyweight and Novice Open Modified Production.
But the best part was being on the track with Shawn Higbee on his 1125R. I felt great that it took him to the very last lap to lap me
He is an amazing rider. In the Formula 1 GP race, still on his 1125R, he stayed right with Toye on his BMW 1000RR in spite of a 30+ horsepower advantage to take second.
We chatted for a bit afterward and he was kind enough to compliment my riding.
Once again, thanks to Motoport Kevlar for an injury free crash.

Didn't look like you did anything out of the ordinary, you were not on the power hard at all just prior to the low side. Was it a cold tire cause?

Man, your bike did a 720+90=810! About how fast was that corner? I've lowsided at the track several times but never had the bike spin away like a top!

Great riding otherwise and another hard lesson learned. Thanks for sharing so hopefully at least a few are spared your learning curve!

It almost looks like you were getting a vibration in the chassis a few seconds before you lost traction. I wonder if you picked something up in your rear tire.

Brother, you can ride.

I have to say the slo-mo edit busted me up laughing, you have a great attitude, my friend.

Glad you were OK and it all worked out by the next day, congrats on an otherwise great track performance.

Rodrob, love the video's, this one especially, just funny watching the track staff do there thing.

Just a note as well regarding the footpeg, the rear pillion ones fit straight on the rider mounts, just without the spring, thats what i'm using for the time being after mine snapped off to during a low side.

Yeah, I used the passenger peg to get me going the next day. Thanks for the tip. Glad you like the footage.

Great attitude and video, I busted up laughing too, especially with the "me" caption as you were fading away.

Good stuff.

there's a bump right at the exit of that corner, which if you hit it while getting on the gas at full lean will cause the bike to step out. Yours stepped a bit further than mine did.

sorry bro
glad you're ok

I must be electronically illiterate. I can't view the video. All I see is a big box, with a tiny icon in the upper left corner, and when I right click, I have no view video option, etc. I would realy like to see action on the track. Help?
