I'm looking for somebody near Charlotte NC who has a barkers exhaust installed so I can see and hear one in person before spending the money. Also, can anybody comment on how the barker/1125 sounds compared to my xb9s/buell race kitted bike ? I'm assuming its louder but it's all I have to compare it to. Thanks

Skip the Barker and get a D_adams pipe. : )

The quiet cored Barker is about the same volume as the race piped XB, but the quiet core really ruins the sound and makes it sound similar to stock. Without the core it sounds great but it is loud like every other 1125 pipe.

I'm in Concord, where are you? I've got an 09 CR w/a Barkers, no core; but I have the quite as well if you want to hear it too. I can't compare it to an xb9, but it sounds pretty damn good to my ears.

Hey Rock lobster, If you're gonna be around pickin yur nose one day lemme know. I'd love to come up and take a look. I'm down near the carowinds area of south charlotte, near the sc border but I don't mind the ride at all. A few miles on the slab with my 1125 won't kill me.

One of my fellow forum riders has a xb9s with the buell race kit, his bike sounds really good. When we stop either to fuel up or hit a bike night, and there is people around, he always wants to start his bike first so people can here it. Because as soon as I start up my CR with the barker exhaust, all heads turn to my bike. The barker exhaust sounds so killer. I run mine with no quiet cores, its loud and when you get on the gas its love to the ears! It's money well spent, have 3,000 miles on mine with no problems. Combined the barker exhaust with fuel solutions tune and K&N filter, and you get a wheelie machine in return.

For $400.50 shipped for a Barkers exhaust and a 1 1/2" quiet core you can't go wrong.
