Starting a thread to post up videos of the track day. If anyone else has some feel free to post 'em up!

Big thanks to all those people who organized and worked on setting this track day up for us! I know our bunch had a WONDERFUL time and we can't wait to get back out there next year!

Dude, I don't know if you're that good, or it's the camera placement & lens angle, but it looks like you could use a set of elbow sliders. LoL

Nice vid, thanks for posting.

I love how you get a view of both behind and in front of you. Nice.

Thanks Dman but trust me I'm not elbow draggin good. The camera I use is a wide angle lens so it tends to slightly distort the outer edges of the frame, making it appear closer. I did get some good lean angles but I wasn't maxed and I tend to hang off a bit more than needed in the event I need to use that extra bit for a correction.

Maybe someday... I can be "pretty good" and really crank the bike over and increase the speed. Until then, I am trying to work on better trail braking and getting smoother and smoother. I'm still really rough moving around on the bike at times, partially because I have hardware in my left ankle that limits my range of motion.

When the second video finishes uploading, check it out and you will notice I am actually going faster with less hang off. Mainly due to fatigue and the fact that we got moved up into a faster bracket so the track was much less populated and I could work on stuff I wanted to work on.

He Geforce, you must have been in group 3? I was on the 70 bike in group 2 (15 min after the hour), didn't remember you on the track. Great video, would have been good to been with you and passed back and forth!

We were in the 4th group early on. They all moved up when I got out after lunch, so I guess I would have moved up too, since I was right behind Cory on my last session.

Excellent video showing the lean and body movement, too bad the audio isn't all there. Otherwise, very good. : )

I think the brackets went purple or blue, black, yellow and green.

We started in the "Super Novice" or green bracket. They had me in the "Novice" or yellow bracket originally but we were late getting to the track and D_Adams asked them to put us in green so we could all ride together. I was in full agreement as neither myself or Bob had been to BHF before and just being able to work on the lines and track memorization was extremely helpful.

So, after the morning sessions I asked Mike to trail me and see if I could move up to the yellow bracket for the afternoon. He did so and I got some much needed feedback. He moved both of us up to yellow and we enjoyed much less congestion.

I don't want to pick on anyone who was there but the green bracket did suffer from traffic build up. I didn't feel comfortable passing a rider who is really trying to learn and needs more track room than I do. With the passing rules being no corner passes *even on the outside like I am used to down at Hallett Raceway* I wanted to see if we could move up.

Mike did say that we'd be able to attend a regular track day in the intermediate bracket with no issues. That really made me feel good for my skill level and being on a new track. I'd LOVE to go back this year but it is quite the drive.

I think it might be time to invest in a new set of rims, slicks, and warmers for track use.

Did you have a black sticker Coolice?

Oh don't get me started on the Audio. I was using Corel Video Studio Pro X3 but when I'd split a clip into pieces the audio wouldn't carry over so I got stuck using Windows Live Media Player.

*sigh*

Oh and the NOISE coming from my bike is your fault Dean... it's the original Muffled Thunder making all that gorgeous sound...minus the popping, that's the camera.

There's 5 of them, each are roughly 700 Megabytes to 1 Gigabyte or more.

Oh yeah, then you more than likely are much more skilled of a rider than I. Maybe one of these days I'll get decent enough to obtain an intermediate status/race license, slicks, tire warmers and a small crew to do some novice racing. : )

At least that is our goal...

Hey, you already had a shared pit crew last week, you're on your way. : )

I think my son would love doing that again.

Thanks, but I crew all the time, build the bikes etc. It was a day to enjoy riding one of the many bikes I've built. Looks like your doing well. Enjoy
