my service manual hasnt arrived yet and im putting the wheels back on after my first DIY tire change, but I dont want to over torque the axles or the hex nuts. Anyone have a service manual handy and could let me know?

the rear axle is left handed threads so to loosen you go righty and tighten you go lefty. book says to torque in two steps, first 25 ft lbs and last 50 ft lbs.

Front axle pinch bolts: 20-22 ft-lbs

Front axle is one time torque of 39-41 ft-lbs

Rear axle pinch bolt: 40-45 ft-lbs

Rear axle: torque to 23-27 ft-lb, then loosen two turns (720* clockwise), then retorque to 48-52 ft-lbs

Remember as Steve said, both axles are left-hand thread (lefty tighty, righty loosey)

Front axle bolts are M8. way lower torque than the rear ones (M12). I use 18 ft/lb since I have a Ti nut fitted with copper grease. 20 is spec, I think. Be very careful not to over torque from pinch bolts since they pull the threads out of your fork bottoms if you do!

I think front axle torque is 40ftlb, and calipers are 35

DOUBLE CHECK THAT. Pretty sure an M8 in aluminum won't sustain that torque -- that sounds like the caliper spec to me.

Edit: Jdugger is right.

FRONT AXLE PINCH BOLTS: 20-22 ft-lbs (alternating between both)

Sorry about that. Reading comprehension is down today b/c it's Fri. I should be ashamed though ... I'm a technical writer. Haha.
