Typically bodywork has a 1 month lag time, thats the way its always been. I ordered a right pod a few months ago and got it in just under a month. I wonder if something is going on that they got a longer delay than normal. | ||

the item I was trying to get was backlogged two weeks at dealer.... that was five weeks ago and hasn't changed! I guess we all just need to order an extra of everything so we have it(if it ever comes in). | ||

Tbolt98, The left pod is the last piece I'm missing for a complete extra set of plastics in black, I have one now in white and black. (I sold the red one that came with the bike).    | ||

The body parts are taking sooo long because they keep changing vendors. I've been waiting 3 months for my black left pod. H-D said that because they aren't making the bikes the vendors don't want to make parts for it, so they keep looking for new vendors to make the parts. I was supposed to get it early May, now called H-D and they said possibly middle of July. | ||

Keef, You can make that look better if you had to...I'll be you could get it so that most people wouldn't even know it was trashed. Seems like a lot of work, but the major scratches would come out after a few rounds with a very rough grit. The trick at that point is to work back through the grits to get it looking great. Time consuming, but worth it (in my case) It would take about 5 hours to sand that out, buff up the shroud, and epoxy them together. | ||

That looks recoverable - as has been said, it'll take you some time but it looks as though you ought to be able to get a pretty good finish while waiting for a new part at least |
