Hi guys, I just finished my run-in period of 1000 km (620mls) on my 09 CR
Since my dealer is rather busy, I cannot send the bike in for his first service for another 2 weeks.

Can I redline my bike now or do I need to wait for the new oil?
Thanks
Dennis

running in should be progressive increase of load and engine revs, work up to WOT and full rpm, your engine will thank you in the long run.
You must decide for yourself because I am sure others will have different opinions.
I have been ridng bikes for 35 years and this process has never let me down

I run my bikes in the same way I plan on riding, just vary the RPM's as much as possible.
