Ok, I'm considering getting the Race ECM for my 08 1125R. I have a stock filter and the Drummer pipe w/DB killer installed. I'm wondering which ECM should I look for. Mostly I'm wondering what those with the same setup (Drummer or Drummer w/DB killer) went with? I've been reading up, but there seems to be various versions of the ECM and now the Erik Buell Racing site lists ones for different pipes. Bit confused here.

Now that they're back from Miller - shoot them an email directly. They usually get back pretty to you pretty quickly.

The Pre-Programmed ECMs now come with a map that has been fine tuned with the exhaust stated ie FMF and HMF (cost $250). Unless a customer went in to Erik Buell Racing with a drummer and had them tune it, they wouldn't have a specific drummer map. Having said that, you can't go wrong with the generic pump-gas ECM for your bike as the base map is much better than the stock ECM. Only thing is if they do develop a drummer specific map, you will have to send it back to them for the re-calibration, or you can get the re-programmable ECM ($750) and get it professionally tuned yourself.

Sent them an e-mail on Monday. Nothing yet, figure they're busy and am waiting patiently.

Anyways, I was reading something about a 231 cal and 242 cal. What's the difference between the two. What has what?

im pretty sure they can set it up how you want it. I personally just ordered a 1125 cr race ecm. I didnt put anything in the instructions. I plan on getting the jardine flash when they release that though and they said that is no problom they can easily reflash the ecms.

Only Problem for me is I live in Australia, so its nearly a month to - and - from E B R. And once you've had a taste of that ECM you don't go back to stock.
