Sure like to hear what actually happened as our racer guy had a valve head break, damaging piston etc. Still not sure of cause. Let us all know what you find.

Well Newest update from my dealer, HD is willing to pay for either parts or the labor. I'm choosing the cheapest option which the dealer said would be labor which is around 1k which I can tolerate.

They are going to call me back with a more exact estimate and hopefully debrief me on what the hell happened to my motor. So HD customer care might have come through on this but still waiting for exact estimate to make my final verdict and will keep you guys posted on what caused the premature engine failure.

>>>>>In a situation like this your dealer is your best friend. How they fill out that form and what they say to H-D will go a long way to determining just how far H-D will go in helping with the cost of this. Be polite and persistent.

No better advise than that.

Hey, shit happens...My engine blew and it was frustrating waiting for all the reps to get done talking back and forth, but in the end I got a new engine and I'm back out riding. Just be cool with your dealer and they'll usually take care of you.

Called HD of Danbury, Still waiting for an exact estimate but got some info out of him and found that my engine sucked and intake valve in. Still don't know why or how it did but that's what I got out of them so far. So this was obviously out of my control and was a factory defect of some sort.
