a week ago on saturday i was on a UKBEG meet in Scotland 600 miles from home. i stayed in a youth hostel overnight, came out on the morning and bike ran ok for 200 yards, then clutch lever came right back to the bars.

i called my breakdown people and they sent out a local garage to look at the problem. after the clutch was bled everything was ok, so carried on with the 150 mile rideout.

sunday i rode home 600 miles with no problem, parked the bike at 5 minutes to midnight. i didnt touch it again until tuesday when i removed the wheels to get new tyres fitted and the lever again came right back to the bars.

i got new tyres fitted, then called the local dealer and got the bike to them on thursday. no news yet as to what has happened, but this evening i got a call from another member and the same has happened to his bike.

there has been no sign of any external leakage, so im at a loss to understand what has happened. my CR had about 2600 miles, and the other guy has just under 4000 on his.

No fluid leaking from the clutch cover? You wouldn't see it on the ground, as it will only leaking when pulling the clutch and then blow off while riding.

its also disappeared while stood in the garage unused for 36 hours. that and some fluid would surely be visible inside the puck

unbelievable a 2010 with clutch problems. Post an update when they figure out what exactly was causing your issue.

Yeah I'm the other 2010 owner who's clutch has packed in.
No signs of any leaks topped the fluid back up as the resorvoir was empty and bled it and it was fine.
Going into the shop tomorrow.

Norrie.
