I'm thinking about buying 09 1125cr.
What is the differnce from 1125cr and the 1125r. This would be my first Sportbike
I also was looking at the Gsx 600 but I'm a Buell Fan.

Most noticably, the looks obviously.
The CR is a more upright riding position.
The R is geared/tuned for more topend whereas the CR is geared/tuned lower for the street.

The CR does not have a more upright riding position unless you have the "high bars" (accessory on '09, stock on '10). The clubman bars on a CR give a riding position that is as bent over as the R, if not more...

Clubman bars on the CR sure feel lower to me than the clip-ons on the R.

But I could just be old... : )

YMMV,

Do you need a fairing or not? is another question.

You will like the smooth linear powerband rush of the Buell for sure! The gixxer has a top end hit but I would say it doesnt start smoking until 10,000 rpm or more.

The Buell is torque right now whenever you need it.

I agree on the clubman bars... they feel lower than my R clip-on position.

CR has lower gearing and shorter wheelbase. That is about it aside from riding position primarily with the high bars.

The CR has a longer wheelbase. 54.5" for CR, 54.1" for R.

I wonder why .4 longer. Seems odd to make a completely new swingarm for only .4 Would anyone even notice the difference?

And the clubmans are not lower than the R clipons...they're further forward. By nearly 2", IIRC.
