MY CR WAS STOLEN LAST NIGHT IN MALAKOFF, TX. IT IS A 2009 1125CR. IT WAS TAKEN AT 3:12AM FROM MY JOB, AND IT IS ALL ON CAMERA. Actually, I hope you DON'T get your bike back and the insurance pays more than you did for the bike. I'm sure adjusters by now know of the discounted prices on Buells, but you might get lucky. I'd hate to have a bike back that was chopped up or beat to death. | ||

The insurance company should pay out based on blue book value, unless you have one of those policies that pays for the cost of replacing it with a new vehicle. Blue book on 1125R/CRs is a lot higher than street value, so you could come out quite a bit ahead if you got your bike at a fire sale price. | ||

Just a FYI, most insurance companies don't pay KBB figures. They pay street prices or in other words, if there was a bike identical to yours, the amount it would be sold for. If you don't have too many miles on your bike they may be able to take a mileage deduction based off the selling price of the bike that hasn't been sold. Each company has their own procedures and as long as you're not disrespectful they should be willing to work with you. | ||

It just occurred to me that he might have drilled the ignition. If that's the case then you might get it back. If he's out riding it, then they will catch him eventually. | ||

My xb was stolen in daylight, people walking around, kids playing outside. Not a worry in the world, it was all on camera. They took there time like it was theirs. Not a single guy looked rushed at all getting it on the trailer. These guys well do anything. Keep your stuff locked up guys. What color was your cr? | ||

Bummer - I know that hurts. +1 on youtube. Lots of folks will see it, you never know. Open question: Are Buells desirable, as in are they popular to steal and chop? | ||

it sucks my m2 got stolen and they caught him riding it doing 120 mph in a 30 but I was lucky I got mine back hope you get yours back or a decent price on it | ||

It was a black CR. I can't imagine why someone would want my bike. We are really a niche group here. I'm really torn. It's not like i went around racing the jap bikes. I just cant see the desire for my bike, unless they knew what it was...and if they knew what it was, i would think they would have passed it up, just out of respect for another buell rider. I have been to every business down hwy 31 to see if they have additional video footage, with no luck. I plan to post it on youtube some time today and will post the link here. I was supposed to ride the twisted sisters this weekend too  | ||

I couldnt understand why mine got stolen. Maybe it just looked really bad ass.  .. But really, idk why anyone would wanna chop one up. It takes about 2 months to kinda get over it.. just prepare yourself lol. I still get mad at times. Something is going on in the dallas and north texas area. Motorcyle theft have increased alot around here. | ||

Buellfreak- When I drove my Buell to a place where they do Harley based custom work and 4 wheeled hotrods, interest in my CR was intense. They wanted to recreate the rear monoshock on one of their projects, The front wheel looked "small" but the rotor really got their mental gears turning. Buell gearboxes, belt drives, and air cooled engines I have heard are in demand from custom builders. | ||
