So my fans stopped working yesterday. I got the left to come on but it turns on late at over 180°f and the right dose work I tested it. Ne thoughts on this. I'd like to think temp sender but the Gage is reading.

Im sure someone will correct me but I believe the left fan should come on at 170 and the right comes on at 180. Im not sure exactly where the sensor is.

Right but what would explain why the right one dose not turn on when there both on the same circuit. And mine switch on at 173° well they did till now.my bad I see they have different switches so it looks like I need a new ecm than.

Or you have a bad fan. I want to say the fans are fused. Don't know if their on different fuses or on the same.

i can look tomorrow when i get to work. my work computer has some info on the wiring diagrams. i want to say that both wires of both fans go to the ecm. i don't think they are fused. i think the ecm uses a highside driver to control the fan and will turn the fan off if the amps is too high. i do know that the ecm can control the fans independent of one another.

The cooling fans run off the same power circuit/fuse and are grounded separately through the ecm. Electrical troubleshooting manual isn't clear as to when both fans are supposed to be running but one (the left side comes on and stays on @ 170f off @160).
If neither fan is working check the cooling fans to see if one is stuck. Then check your fuse F10 15amp.
You did not mention whether you had a EB Race ecm. If so maybe it's programmed to come on at a different temp.
Either way, if the fans are working and the bike is not o-heating, I wouldn't sweat it..

The bike is stock aside from custom exhaust. The fan(s) are fine fuse is good all that's left now is the ecm I hope that dose not take long to come in. Ne one know how much a stock one gos for.

the stock ecm is about $400. you are better off getting an ebr ecm, as they are only $250.
