Thanks, that's a good review. And I'd have to agree with his saying that the Rosso Corsa is better than the CorsaIII...that has been my experience too.

The pressures I run are a little lower than what he says in that article because my local track isn't a top speed track. I usually set pressures at 28.5f/28r psi. The tire warms up incredibly fast...which is a good thing because I don't have tire warmers.

Jake Wilson has them pretty cheap and you can always get coupon codes on line to make them cheaper. $143 for a rear and $115 for a front with that kind of performance is well worth it IMO.

I don't knwo what you are talking about
ever since i chaaged form Dunlop to Pirelli
I have nothing but good things to say.
I have had dunlops loose traction in the rain in a corner and if you get a major thunderstorm come down out of nowhere I dont feel save with dunlops they hydroplaned on me a couple of times and its not a good feeling.
pay the extra money and the Pirellis will keep you glued to the road.
I have thought many times to chage to another brand for cheaper price but I always end up paying the price and stiking with pirelli.
just my experience

Banana: I, like Xb1125r, have never had problems with the Pirellis. I've never had one slide out on me, even on the track when I was pushing very very hard.

What pressures do you run, and what Pirelli tires do you have?

I think the Dunlop street products suck, but I'm basing that opinion on the "Qualifier" product. I have a buddy on a Ducati 749 who has positive things to say about the new Q2. Also, the GP-A DOT Race tires are OK, but not really suitable for the street unless you are doing heavy canyon carving. It's a bit of a waste for regular riding.

The Corsa III is a good tire. If you are slipping and sliding a lot, it's probably tire pressure or suspension settings. At street pace, the Corsa III isn't going to move around a lot.

As a data point, I have turned lap times at my home track that would win first place by over a whole second in the Novice CMRA Heavyweight Twins class on bone stock Corsa III without warmers.

Seriously -- you aren't sliding around. Something else is wrong.

I love my Rossos. I always wished they were dual compound like the IIIs. THe Rossos just looked better than the IIIs. Is it safe to assume that the center of these tires will last longer than the centers of the regular Rossos? That would be awesome!

The "Rosso Corsa" replaced the CorsaIII...not the regular Rosso..it's confusing, haha.

I just replaced my stock IIIs with the Dunlop Q2s . I never liked the corsa's either . The Q2's make the bike feel like it is on rails . I am sold on the Dunlop Q'2 and they can be had for $210 a set

got back from a trip to scotland and with 3000 miles on the rear corsa 111 is needing replacement. will look at the michelin pilot pwoer, or pure. i have pilot road 2CT's on my XB12Scg and they are far better that the diablo's. the corsa's on the CR always seem to need pushing in to the bend. i dont like them at all.

Pirelli Super Corsa, SC 1 for the front & SC 2 for the rear, no slipping or sliding. Yes they will wear fast as they are a Dot race compound, but stick like shit to a blanket.

Thank you. I was trying to figure out how this was working. So, the Diablo Rosso that I have been running remain, but the Corsa III has a new version with new name "Diablo Rosso Corsa", correct?

Corsa means track.
The regular Pirelli Diablo Rosso is a better tire if you drive mostly on the road and go to the track now and then. If you drive a lot on the track the Supercorsa is a street legal track-tire. Both these tires got highest score in their class in comparison tests performed by a scandinavian magazine.

Have 3,800 miles on mine and the rear will be due very soon. They are very good tires.

My tyre pressures are always set to standard pressures as in the manual. the front tyre seams to had worn funny. the tread steps from one section to the other. but it is in the direction towards the edge of the tyre and not along the curcumpherance as you would expect from say heavy braking.
I am a little concerned about it actually. If I have explained it properly for you lot to understand I would really appriciate some feedback!
