Transforms the bike. Words really not enough. Best $250 I have ever spent. If you haven't got one yet park your bike and get it.

so tell me about the low rpm stutter, roughness. I hear that goes away? are you using a stock muffler? rex

@dbr0051

so i´m interested like Rex does,
cause in Austria theres no good exhaust
system available - so do you use the stock muffler (or tried it once?)

Fitted the race ecm to my 09 1125R about 600 miles ago, bike has K&N filter and temporarily a HPE race can.
I actually fitted the race ecm when I had a debaffled Remus can on the bike.

The effect of fitting the race ecm is to transform the bike - I have no connections with Erik Buell Racing apart from being a satisfied customer in all respects -

That's good to hear. I definitely want one. But I need to figure out my exhaust as well, since they tune it for specific applications right?

Low RPM shutter gone, no rattles, really smooth now. I have a HMF but have the regular non-specific pump gas ECU, I ordered it before I got the pipe. Erik Buell Racing said it at most would make a 1 HP differance from a specific exhaust ECM to the universal one. I'm happy in every regaurd, even sounds differant, honestly runs like a whole differant bike.

I too installed the Erik Buell Racing ECM for 09 CR with stock exhaust and K&N air filter.

My impression after riding about 30 miles or so around city and highway is that it is not that much different from stock ECM with the latest flash when running below 6000 RPM. One major difference is the low engine braking with Erik Buell Racing ECM, like what everyone else has mentioned. Have yet to rev the engine higher as I just past the 600 mile mark.

Quick question about ordering your Erik Buell Racing ECM...Do you specify anything as far as what air filter or exhaust you're going to run when you order it, or does the ECM just adjust for all combinations?

I have the E-B-R Ecm, HPE race exhaust, de-noid and K&N. My initial impressions after installing the E-B-R ECM are:
1) It definitely runs cooler.
2) Far less engine breaking.
3) Seems a little quieter (strange I know).
4) Idles a bit lower.
5) Revs a couple hundred RPM more (over rev)
6) No significant SOT power gain.

I'm happy with the results if nothing else knowing that the engine is running the way it was designed to now, however the lack of an increase in power was a little bit disappointing - Still no power wheelies in 2nd.

Few things you guys haven't pointed out.
The rev up as clutch release is gone.
Also the cold in the cluster and low rpm limit when cold is also been removed.
Fan runs slightly more often(could be it is just finally warm here in mich)
I have an 2009 with a Barker and it runs good.

Rt, do you have any decel popping with the E B R ecm and the Barkers? This is the combo I am considering to go with.
Thanks, Scott

Maybe I just have a "good" one but I can do effortless 3rd gear power wheelies, not even trying, might even do some 4th one when I brael it it more.

All around the differance is truely amazing. I have a worked SV1000n, a true hooligan and it seems kinda tame now.

Dbr - the curiosity is; my 1125R isn't slow by any means - It will pull a '03 R1 through every gear and run over 130mph in the 1/4 mile. For whatever reason though, it won't snap up easily in 2nd. I had a TL1000 with 20hp less that would snap up easy in 2nd so I am truly confused.. Love the Buell though.

Your TL and my SV are all most the same. Like anything else it's a technique thing, the SV doesn't take any but the buell seems to lift it at a faster speed/RPM than the SV, might be a gearing thing too. I love them both too.

Ironically, I too had a SV1000N AND a '97 TL1000S (the rowdy one). I liked the SV, but loved the TL. I could wheelie that bike from 2nd to 5th easy. I hate to say it, but part of me is very tempted to sell the 1125R and buy another one! Probably just my 'rose tinted' memory, but that ol'TL was damn near perfect.

Anyways, back to the E-B-R Ecm - I'll be hitting the drag strip very soon to see if there are any straight line performace gains over my old ECM.

I will have to leave that to someone else. I only have had 1 bike dynoed and the guy I trust is 200 miles away.
Honestly, I don't care if it makes one more HP, it's all the other stuff that makes it a best mod to me.

I'm on the fence with the Erik Buell Racing race ECM. I have the latest flash on my '09R, and it runs perfectly. Of course I can't compare it to something (the Erik Buell Racing version) that I've not yet tried, but it's hard to imagine a noticeable improvement.

Would I clearly know it was there if I didn't have the knowledge that I had installed it. I'd probably end up specifying a 'factory like' set-up since I like the factory engine braking, the slight blip on clutch release, etc.

I denoided my 1125R from new in 2009.
