I just found this post and I too am interested in a new seat. I have a 2009 XBR. I would like it to be a new seat so I don't have any downtime. If I could get Firebolt sewn into the sides that would be nice but not a deal breaker. Please add me to your list of people. Also put me down as a 2 or 4. The Firebolt mark may be tough to get as it's most likely a registered trademark. | ||

Does anyone want me to try posting a link to this thread over on the XB board again? Maybe we can the list to 100 people? No issues on the Firebolt logo, it was just a thought. I won a passengers seat not to long ago that had been made by Saddlemans. Tried to win the riders seat too but the price went to over $350 for it. I got on the list in my local Trim shop. he is going to build me a 4" over stock seat wrapped in leather for 150. I have 2 r tailed bikes so depending how this unfolds i will be still on board for 1 if it isn't to many $$ may also be able to get to non net buell riders to buy aswell | ||

Rt_performance - the way the voting is going 35 of 39 people are wanting new and I am wanting to find pans to open it up a bit. Maybe your guy is the stock and/or the 4" over guy. Can you verify the type and grade of materials he uses? Any portfolio pics from your source? THX | ||

No Danny this Guy has never done a Buell seat. He mainly does custom car interiors many of which have found there way to hot rod and many other magazines. I just stopped over i rode roughly 400 miles last weekend and my custom seat killed me. I asked about leather he said no problem and he is going to two tone it. | ||

I have spoken to Tim the Parts manager at Latus HD. As a Corbin dealer and BWB sponsor Latus HD looks like a natural. We also can't forget A-S-B Al. Orman1649 The current state of the supply chain: Recovering services - Baldwin and others, Baldwin buys new seats as cores, so this is basically a NEW seat if you use their core. You can save $50 and send in your old seat. A group discount may or may not happen there. If BWB members accept Baldwin with new core as new they will be on the new list and voted on. The Vendor vote will be the actual number we give each vendor as the basis for their bid. If all current voters were in agreement on one Vendor that would be 44 seats today. The Discussion starts now, I want the vendors to quote with volume based unit pricing; 10-20, 21-30, 31-40 ... This way we can see the benefit of working together to save more. The vendors should like it too. A HD Corbin vendor should be pretty easy to find. I have started this conversation on the phone with the PM at BWB sponsor LatusHD. I also followed up with this link by email. Tim should be getting back to me. If he doesn't the BWB HD sponsor list is long. We are also waiting for A-S-B Al as he is dyno testing all of the popular 1125 exhaust systems this week. They are calling it a dyno shootout. I'd be down for a Baldwin group buy even if it's a tad more than the others ... he puts out a quality product. I was gonna go with Baldwin anyway, so just getting a group buy together with them shouldn't be that hard. I'm kinda' turned off by Corbin's CS practices anyway.
