I have one. It is one of the best pieces of gear that I have ever bought. Comfortable, fairly quiet and the rear view is priceless. I would highly recommend it.

Aeholton,
Can the system be dimmed or turned off when the sun or high beams are at your back?

Very interesting, I've never seen this before. Seems like a worthwhile investment. I'd like to know more about helmet fit etc. from a current owner.

Good question--can it be dimmed? I'd hate to have to look at the brights of some vehicle behind me. One guy I ride with has HIDs on his bike and they are REALLY bright.. and a couple of others like to ride with their brights on. I've reminded them that they shouldn't run their brights when mid-back (maybe if they're lead bike but not otherwise) but they sometimes still do it anyway.

Im guessing not , after reading this from in the Webbikeworld article posted above...

It's also important to note that the image in the mirror is not a perfectly clear, perfectly lighted view like you'd get from looking at a rear view mirror in a car. It's about 2-3 stops darker than the ambient light, due to the mirrored rear cover and the deliberate use of tinted material to mute headlights at night. Also, the surface of the polycarbonate isn't as perfectly smooth as a glass mirror, so there is a slight distortion in the image

No need for dimming. Light is diffused by bouncing off 3 different surfaces. Someone running high beams behind you is not a problem.

As for distortion, there is a little bit. The image is a little squashed. However, not too bad. It works well for seeing if there is a vehicle behind you and has a nice wide field of view.

Where to buy? I got mine here: http://rearview-helmets.com/
