So my bike is under warranty and i took it to the dealer to have the clutch cover leak fixed...well i guess the parts are on back order until mid june....Anyone have any idea if a dealer has them in stock that i can order direct or something....I want to be back on the road. Any suggestions or am i just waiting it out?

keep a bottle of dot 4 fluid with you and top off the mc until the parts arrive.

Your dealer may be able to get the parts from another dealership. Mine is trying to do that for me now.

I'll be placing a call to H-D customer service today (wasting my time no doubt)to make them aware of my displeasure with this situation. The first parts installed made no difference in the leak rate. I'm continuing to ride the bike, but even though I wipe the cover off every time I stop, it is beginning to show permanent stains from the fluid.

My first leak went most of the summer , at least 7K miles , and waited to have it fixed over winter , kept checking the fluid level , and I never did see the level come down

I had my clutch leak fixed a few weeks ago, Danbury HD had the stuff in stock and had my bike fixed the same day I dropped it off.

Have your dealer check HDnet to see if another dealer has the stuff in stock.

i just called my dealer, he says he check the parts site and it showed that part number X2086.1AM is available.

hey guys thanks for all of the info. I am gonna make some calls. is transferring the parts from dealer to dealer pretty easy?

My dealer just got the parts from another dealer since the backorder is delayed again. Now I'll hold off on bitching to H-D customer service, but this still shouldn't really be happening with constant backorders.
