Author Message   Parrick Posted on Wednesday, May 05, 2010 - 09:45 pm:        Does anyone know the exact conditions under which the relay in the charging system harness is supposed to cycle? It was my understanding that the relay is supposed to "cycle" one leg of the stator when the engine is under 5000 rpm. The relay energizes when the run switch is flipped to "run" with the key on but it does not seem to change when the bike is revved up to over 5000 rpm. How do you verify that it is operating properly?
