As long as you are talking Harleys I have two questions:

Can anyone tell me who designed;
1. the softtail?
2. the fxdx?

Just had my charging harness recall done friday, and the service manager hooked me up with a test ride on that bombardier spider thing. Talk about an unusual ride, but a real nice effort on the service managers part, and a great opportunity to try something different.

I too have a Vrod, hence the name RodRob from different forum.
I love it. For me, it is the perfect cruiser.
But since buying my 1125r, I don't ride it often, mainly when I want to go two up or need the bags. After the buell, i realize that there is a lot of room for suspension improvements, so I'm gonna go to work on that.

"Sometimes buellers can be thin skinned. Service managers get chewed out and raped by customers on a daily basis. Sometimes they get a little to leathery and lose touch with what is normal grinding and what is out of line to say to customers. Im sure they give V-rod and sportster customers a hard time too, just laugh it off and be glad you dont have that job."

Nope, disrepecting and humiliting the customer is a sure way to drive away business, which is not smart. Why not just put a sign in the window. Buells not welcomed or serviced here. Do you think BLACK will go back there for service or recommend that shop to anyhone else?

++ to that.

There are plenty of dealerships that clearly don't want to be bothered with Buells.

And then there are plenty of dealerships that love Buells, and are more than happy to take the time to get things fixed and keep customers happy.

There's a huge, huge gap between the two. I've seen both. I ride over an hour to get to a dealership when there's one 15 mins away because the one up in Santa Fe treats me like a customer they want to come back. The service department likes Buells, half of the techs ride them, the service manager rides them, and they do a good job on the bike. There's no attitude of "Fine, but we'll put it in back, we don't want anyone to SEE this plastic piece of junk" like I've received from other dealerships.

I'd rather dealerships that don't want to service Buells pull down the Buell sign. If they don't want to deal with me, I don't want to deal with them. And I'd rather know this ahead of time.

My dealer pulled their Buell sign down. Kinda sad. Id sometimes like to find a different dealer, but mine isn't really bad. Just the occasional snarky remark. "Wanna get rid of that Buell yet?"

Love my 2007 VRSCAW V-Rod almost as much as my 2008 1125R. Bought it because my wife wanted a Harley and this is the only one we liked. I figured if she decided she didn't like it after all that I wouldn't mind riding it. We both ride it about the same since she doesn't like to ride in the rain and I don't mind.

I put a set of Toxic Choppers V-Lux pipes & a K&N on it; sounds amazing.

Just noticed recently that I've scraped the front pegs, the lower exhaust pipe, and the welds beneath the fuel cell when I lean it over and hit bumps mid turn. I find it handles pretty damn well for a big long cruiser.

Oh, and I've had it up to 130 mph indicated.

Some plastic part in the transmission grenaded due to mfr defect around 10k miles sending shrapnel throughout the motor & tranny. Was still under warranty for a couple more months, so HD rebuilt it and gave us a free 5-year extended warranty.

We sure have a lot of V-Rod owners here. I don't ride the V-Rod nearly as much as the CR. But I have 80K on the V-Rod and I want it to last another 7 years.
On the other hand, I have ordered bags for the 1125, and am looking at windshields.
