first off i know these bikes were not made to drag race and second i dont like busa's i am looking for aftermarket parts or do it yourself improvements to make this 1125 cr run mid to low 6 in the 1/8 mile i ran 7.64 stock with a horrible 1.998 60 ft time i know i have alot of improvements to make on the 60 ft time but not a full second. i have added a fmf apex slip on carbon titanium exhaust. i am waiting of my pcv powercommander and k&n filter.... i have seen a post about lowering drag straps and would love so see a better picture of the bar/rod going through the front axle and even a parts list if at all possible thanks and ride it like u stole it

Look in the racing threads, "littlebutquick" has the best handle on dragracing the 1125 so far...My advice would be a slick and a set of bars...but that would mean either not riding on the street or a lot of swapping back and forth.

There is easily a 6 in a stock '25 motor...with a little tweaking and chassis/traction managment, I'm guessing some 5's possibly....but you would need bars or a very long arm...(bars would be best...the really long arms destroy weight transfer...)

Bone stock with stock suspension and no mods will do a 6.90.

Practicing will get you a half second with $0.

ok now like i said before i will have to do some practicing but lbq is beatin the hell out of 6.9....today i made some front axle through tie downs for lowering straps now just gotta order the straps but i seriously doubt that will take off 1 sec...were u at lil but quik i need your help besides being an awesome rider u are also very intivative when lookin at buell 1125 drag racing if anyone would like a parts list or pics of the tiedown just let me know it is quite simple and cheap about 10 dollars plus straps also just got an email from buell racing saying that they will be offering a extended or stretched swingarm near the end of summer looks like i got a good winter project ahead of me

just got off the phone with efr.com after speaking with elton i dont know just how fast i wanna go .... extended swingarms available 10 inch stretch... also he has a big boy bore kit to make it around 250 hp to the rear wheel also with the swingarm it comes with a chain drive pulley on the rear for around 1600 bare or 1775 powdercoated all you would then need is a chain and front sprocket and u wouldnt be out the 3500 like it is fron ebr.com not saying it is the same quality but i think im gonna take the chance

What big bore kit are they selling that they claim 250RWHP? Even the 1190 doesn't manage that.

I can understand the desire to save some money, oddly enough it never seems to occur to me to try that when I am looking at things that might make me go "Hmmm I wonder if this $2k cheaper swingarm is up to the job" just as I launch..

buell told me of the guy that had one made his name is micheal and he owns a 1125rr so i figure if he trust it why wouldnt i.... and i dunno about the big bore kit its just wat they told me give them a call its efr.com

Listen, I DRAG RACE! I have drag raced for 25 years so let me try to help you. I race 1/4 mile not 1/8th and while its both drag racing they are WAY different. Save some money, buy a chain kit and drop the front sprocket 1 tooth. Take all the pre/load from the rear shock so it will transfer the weight and not try to lift the front. Pull your front down with your axle bar and a GOOD pair of ratchet straps and do some testing. Now as far as the motor goes, well I find it VERY hard to believe theirs any big bore kit that jump the HP numbers that high. Look at it like this, the engine case is only bored out so far thus limiting the size of the barrel outer diameter. Now lets say you can bore the stock cylinder 120 over (thats a TON) to allow for a bigger piston, what happens? You run out of wall thickness thus effecting the engines running temps (not in a good way). If it were me I would install a 40 shot of Nitrous Oxide and have the PS5 activate in second gear ONLY. If your still not happy, install a nice wheelie bar and hold on. If you have any other ?'s please ask.

The 250hp claim is pure BS unless it is boosted (turbo or nitrous or both)..period.

My best advice at this point is to get your advice from people that know what they are talking about...EXPERIENCED racers...there are far more squid "dragracers" than you can count..

The nitrous is a great idea...it will not only add power, it will make the bike more consistant pass to pass...I'm guessing you are running an ET class...but be aware, that you are plowing new ground...if you can find someone running a nitrous setup on an 1125....you would do well to discuss tuning and mods with them.

By the way...before I retired from dragracing..I used to buy my nitrous in bulk...I used a LOT of it on my pore ole bike.

everyone says 250 hp is bs i question it to but when i looked on his website and seen busas with turbos puttin out 400+ i was truly shocked dont get me wrong it was turbocharged but still like 440 hp.... sick and it would make the motor an honest to god promod motor the best of everything and the price shows it... i have made the axle through and waitin on straps... but when u say take the preload out of the rearend u lost me a little i aint a motorcycle genuis i just pay and have it done but this is obviously easy so please just give me a step by step and a pic of what to turn thanks for all the help badweather members are the greatest

yes, you can pull 500 hp out of a turbo'd busa, because they have been around for a while and there are a lot of people that have them, there is a large demand for aftermarket parts. The 1125 has only been out 2 years and they only made about 8000. There just isn't a big enough demand to get a lot of aftermarket parts that are specifically designed for the 1125.

Figuring power is not hard...how many cfm of air, specific density of the air and fuel, btu output in units of measure of the fuel...factor in thermal efficency, frictional loss, and engine rpm...simple.

You will not get 250hp from an otherwise stock overbored 1125...normally aspirated on pump gas...it is impossible...before someone questions my opinion...read it carefully...

i agree with u totally not alot of big business making aftermarket parts but a small time business man wants the money and i think that is what this man is doing i dont know him or his work personally but im thinking i might give him a chance

fast1075 u completly lost me way too much complicated shit there for my lol but this guy does make some very quick bikes and i dont really know if it has a turbo or nos but lets get honest 1300 can make a verified 400+ hp but an 1125 cant make 250 hp thats kinda odd to me though
