Anyone made quick release pins themselves rather than purchase a set from American Sport Bike? Not to take money from them but it should be a simple DIY project. Just wondering of anyone has done it and would do a short write up (with pics), for the rest of us smucks who don't know where to start. Partly because i haven't seen a setup yet.

Thanks

i made my own. i used a drill and a grinder to get the rounded/cone shape. then drilled a hole for the cotter pin. i allready had some of the cable, otherwise i would not have tried to make them.
the ones from American Sport Bike look waaaay better, and all the guess work and re-work is done. DIY these are cheaper on paper if you can get em right the first time, but it'll cost you more in your time and effort.

made my own also. originally i cut down stainless steel bolts. but later i found the pins i was looking for. called 'drop nose pins', a piece in the ends rotates 90 degrees.. i used brass ones at first, but now have stainless steel ones
