I de-noided my bike while i was fixing it up, i don't have the resistor yet, but i wanted to see how the bike was so i just ran it w/o the resistor. I don't have a speedo on the bike right now, my question is does the ecm throw and store the check engine codes, or does the speedo? Also, how do i clear check engine codes? I am sure i will have a c/e light from the noid once i get the speedo on.

The code will be stored in your ECM. You probably will also have a com failure code for the gauge cluster being missing (no big deal). You can clear the codes with ECMspy once you get back up and running, or you can just ignore it and they will clear after about 50 starts.

All you need is the cable, which you can either buy from various source including that one on ebay or American Sport Bike. You can also make the cable yourself if you feel you are up to it.

The software is free. ECMspy only partly works on the 1125's, but it will clear the codes fine. You can download the new ECMread and TunerPro programs to do even more like adjust fuel maps and all that fun stuff.

The original ECMspy isn't available anymore but you can find copies of it floating around with a google search.
