Remember that joke I said about I really don't plan on dropping this bike ever!!! Well guess what I wasn't joking I didn't plan on dropping this bike. But this guy was doing 20 in a 35 zone so I past him on the inside of the curve and that's when I ran out of talent, skill, patience, cause when I tried to reclaim my original line I couldn't do it and there was that guard rail ( not me the real thing! ) the whole time I kept saying to myself no front brake, just ride it out. Over and over....(sorry but I gotta hi Jack my own thread for a sec...) Crimson and Clover. Over and over aka my blood on green grass...[aaannnnddddd we're back] so I squeezed over and over three short burst and a low side later I had just dropped my wife. I mean bike. And yeah this bike does crash well. Scratched left pod ( of course ) left crank cover and tip of lever. right side pipe got a small dent. Hurt my left shoulder. 3 Rug burns on left knee. Got some help lifting her from some italian dude on a Harley. Guess it's time for some sandpaper???

Aarrgh. Sorry to hear about your tumble.

Try Novus scratch removing products after you sand out the heavy stuff.

You should really try to sand it out. My friend dropped my bike and I've been waiting on a left pod for over a month and a half. Front fairing, clutch, stator cover only took a week or so. I'm ashamed to take it to bike... The guy paid in full and didn't get hurt so it's not that big of deal

Video: "they are gonna beat our asses" hahaha

sorry to hear guard_rail it sucks i know exactly how it feels!! I ran out of talent 3 weeks ago in a decreasing radius turn.. in the middle of the turn i saw a lot of gravel and also saw some grass in front of me, I decided to straighten the bike so worse case scenario i was going to the grass... that's what happened : ( My ribs are almost ok and my shoulder is 100% now, thank god it rained the day before so the grass had a lot of mud and the bike had a couple of scratches on the left pod and a little scratch remover after its really hard to see : ) . I love this bike and i am so glad its ok : )

So this was a one lane deal and you passed on the inside? Please tell me that's not the case. If so that makes passing on the left over double yellow look positively saintly.

2 lanes 1 coming & 1 going. If you picture the letter "S" we were at the lower half. So I could see there was no traffic coming from the top half of the "S" I hardly had to cross the double to make the pass. I was going the speed limit but past my limit!!!

I'll take 100 low sides to any high side. Done it myself on my CR when the bike was new and I was practicing trail braking. Everyone crashes sooner or later.

Naw. On the inside. I know I could've just leaned harder and saved it real easy. Ive done it before this bike loves to lean and I had plenty left to lean. I just got a little scared I guess I ran out of nerves too.

I think the nervousness of the engine can sometimes work its way into your soul. When I first got the CR I had some very impatient moments with the engine, where is the *&(&ing torque? Those moments had me thinking about some pretty crazy s&*^ to do in traffic.

I went back to my s1 (D&D & crane ignition) and traffic was traffic. I am hoping the EBR ECM will relax the CR enough so it can do an easy launch without all of the nervousness and be relaxed enough to give a civil parade crawl speed. If it can't the TH?

The throttle tube thread is still rattling around in my mind as well.

Dannybuell I have a rt3 exhaust and an EBR ECM on a CR and the ecm really helps the engine out at low rpms. It will run smooth in 1st at idle. Can take your hand off the throttle and just ride with clutch hand with no problem. Smooth taking off from a stop sign or light. Can ride in 2nd or 3rd at low rpms in slow traffic with no prob. Still makes alot of power up higher though.
