does anyone know what kind of coating is on out factory head pipes on our 09 1125 bikes...

Coating....?
There is no coating...at least on all of the bikes I've seen!

Mine now has the DEI titanium heat barrier tape on it.
Many have done theirs similar, some polish, some ceramic coat.

Just bare stainless steel tubing from Buell.

Are you sure? My tuber has uncoated SS tubes and it looks totaly different. It looks like some sort of coating to make the stainless tubes look like titanium tubes. I don't want to try to scratch it to prove a point but I sure would like to know for sure if they are coated or not.
