i have a 2009 1125r and the stock peg set-up kills my knees/thighs.... im 6' and have seen new pegs that can drop either 1" or 2"...i was thinking of getting the 2" but was curious if anyone else has tried these, and if so how they like them? plus, i am a fairly aggressive rider and i'm afraid that in the corners the dropped pegs would hit.... any insight of these dropped pegs would be much appreciated before i waste $100+

I have the rider footpeg kit for XB models on my 1125R. Its only $30 and only need minor filing on one of the corners to make them fit. I have zero issues with them dragging. They give a 1" drop. Give em a try part number is N0006.1AD quick FYI though, they were showing on backorder for 4/16 and today is the 19th. You may need to order the pegs by their individual part numbers from your dealer or Al at American Sport Bike might have them.

I just ordered a set of Knight Design's Sidetrax II pegs with a 1" drop. Seem to be getting good feedback and my hips cramp up after about 1.5 hours straight so I thought I'd give them a try. $80 shipped.

I'll post feedback after I've had them long enough to give an accurate review.

+1 on the knight design 1" drop pegs. Made the CR much better for me.

The pegs from a Ulysses drop right in. And you really need to be movin' to touch one down on the street.

I just installed the Precision Engineering pegs. They're comfy.

My profile pic is from when I was testing the clearance of my 1" drop pegs. The 2" drop may actually be a bit of a problem if you plan on cornering really fast, but at a normal street pace I think that you'd be fine.

I ordered the 2 inch drop ones also. I have not put them on yet, though. Been out of town

I have had Uly pegs for the last 21k miles.
Put on a silver set at ~3k, ran them for ~10k.
Replaced them with a set of black ones. Perfect.

No track days on my budget, wife still doesn't know about the fairing kit in the attic. : )
So I have never dragged the pegs.

I use the Buell Lightning pegs @ $32.00, they are 1" lower. They match the rear pegs. The comfort difference is amazing!

Ditto on the Ligtning pegs. A dozen strokes with a file and they`re on,dropped the shift lever one tooth on the spline and about a 1/4 inch on the brake pedal.Cheap and easy.

Are the Lighting pegs made the same way, out of rubber?

Pretty sure you can unscrew the mega long "Demon Tooth" as I call it and put your stock feeler peg, demon tooth, touch down nut....whatever it's called. That should add a little more clearance and still get the job done fine. I haven't done this to mine just yet but it's in the works. I have an extra set in the garage waiting.

Or if you want a Buell part with no filing, use the Ulysses pegs. 1" drop, huge foot area, good grip even in wet (if you go with the black ones, that is - they're cut differently than the silver ones).

I have Uly pegs on my CR, and along with the 1" taller Buell touring seat...my half-titanium 34" inseam is just fine : ) And, the black pegs look bone-stock (especially since I removed the passenger pegs and brackets).

This is a mod well overdue for me. Just gotta decide, The Uly pegs are nice but just look a little too touring, maybe not. I can't help think about the knight ones in blue .. on my 08 with the blue frame seems like they'd do the job & maybe look pretty cool without being bling.

I bought the XB one's on ebay for less than 30 bucks and they made a huge difference.
