Well I got sick of the stock fender and finally got rid of it. Put in a smoked integrated turn signal LED tail light, additional flush mounted turn signals, tucked the license plate nice and deep and gave it an LED plate light under the tail. I used the EBR plate plug to fill in the gap.

When I'm riding the bike the bottom of the plate rests on the tire huger.

Is it hinged then? Otherwise the first big bump you go over will either wreck the hugger or the plate.

Guess there's no pillion going on your bike then LOL

Looks very neat though : )

How big of a guy are you? What is your rear tire pressure? You may want to bump up your tire pressure as you have the tell-tale signs of the pirelli blue halo.

What if you put it so it follows the tail. Does it make it more or less visible (legal) if it is at the same basic angle but pointed in vs out.

Kirb, I have the 'Blue Halo' effect on my tires too. The tires are inflated to the suggested PSI per the manual. Maybe I should bump up my pressure a little. I am probably 265 with all my gear on.

Another guy on here said he upped his pressure to 40psi rear and the problem went away...I think he talked to the rep or factory.

I guess the sidewall flexes too much, gets too hot, and causes the situation you see in the photo.

Whats the 'Blue Halo' your talking about? I can see 'it' now that I'm looking for it, but what does it mean? Side effects?

BTW I'm about 5'8" & 165# in gear.
