Has anyone have one installed and how loud is it? would it be practical for the street using the race ecm? to what other full exhaust would you compare it? thanks for your replies!

Its really fraking loud. I would not use it on the street.

I was at NJMP when Danny won the championship last fall, you could hear him coming from the other side of the track, and it completely drowned out the whining noise from the Jap4 bikes.

wow, thanks. So if I was looking for an exhaust system for street/some track that is louder than stock but not annoying loud, what would you guys recommend? And would the EBR ecm work with any of this free flow exhaust?

Barker and KEDA (D_Adams) seem like good choices for local builders and the Torque Hammer has always gotten the thumbs up from anyone that has one, but from what I can tell it's made in Europe and somewhat more expensive than the others I mentioned.

Some people like the slip ons by AMF, HMF, Jardine, Remus, D&D but I think they all sound pretty much alike after listening to too many soundclips on YouTube. Loud and nasty and lacking that V-Twin burble and idle. I have an HMF and it's pretty damn loud.

If you have boatloads of money the Free Spirits full system is nice to look at and sounds like a Buell should sound in my opinion but they want Termignoni money for it.

According to EBR they have an ECM calibration that works with most Slip On systems.

A little too loud for street use but still runs great with the race ecm. It now runs better at any speed than it ever has.

Aye, she is a bit of a wailer that one....

Finished my install over the weekend - if you know what the XB factory race can sounds like, well this is quite a bit louder. I like loud pipes, but me thinks this one will gain the attention of the Federales. Something between straightpiped Harley and a chainsaw.

If anyone knows of someone selling their EBR setup, let me know, I'm looking for one to put on my race bike.

It's 105db legal for the various sanctioning bodies for which it was designed around.

You want a wailer you should have heard the Moto-ST exhaust back in early '08

Here's a clip and put on some headphones.

So I tried looking around on the net and the youtube video above is the only reference to the Moto-ST exhaust. Anyone know where its being sold and how much?

Well if you're looking, Moto-ST is the class the bike was raced in, not the brand.

My guess is that it's like a previous version of what the EBR exhaust is now. (pure speculation)

Anon -

Aye - her wailing warms me heart. I AM NOT COMPLAINING. In a garage, a bit loud (105 dB sounds about right). At 6:30 in the morning, maybe my neighbors think it's a bit loud, too. On the open road, pure sweetness.

Now IF one were to use this for a street application, and IF the local Federales were thin on other things to do, the MAYBE you would need to be concerned. There are quite a few I-4's out there with nastier sounding pipes and they don't seem to get pulled -
