Don't do it : D

I figured that winky little front fairing was not doing that much since I am too big to tuck under the windscreen. So after juicing it up to 150 something I let off and straightened up thinking to apply some "airbrakes" to scrub off the speed. Wow. Just about got tossed off the bike. The wind grabbed my leathers and it was like being a flag in a tornado.

So I started playing around with my riding posture and testing how much wind I could cheat. And how much wind I could handle : p

Anything over about 90 MPH and the buffetting starts to effect stability. Scooching back in the seat to get my head down and torso back actually made more turbulence than scooching forward and humping the tank with my head over the windscreen.

I'm wondering how much more of a "bubble" the Zero G DB or Corsa would make around me. Anyone have some input on that?

yeah ya really need eyes in the top of your head on that bike if your large size and up. At 150mph the back of my fieldsheer mesh jacket was vibrating like ruffed grouse wings in full rut, it turn everything into a fuzz out. Sorry, I have no remedy info.

I have the Zero G double bubble and being over 6' and ~250lb I can still get into an area of less turbulent air.

With the stock screen I struggled.

At 150+ I can still sit comforatbly with no problems.

+2 on the ZG DB. I'm like you if you push up off the tank bag it will try and make you a kite at 100+!

Thanks for the feedback. I wonder if ZG is going to come out with anything even taller than the DB. The Corsa is described as being the same height as the DB (according to a post here somewhere).

Meh, Fairings are for pussies anyway....

But seriously, on the CR, my leather jacket starts to flap at about 80, and over 120-130 just beats the sh!t out of me.

I just got a Vanson mesh jacket with all the armor and stuff, and got it where it fits "snug". No flappy material.

Just what I needed. Something that encourages me to ride faster.

I did the same thing a few years back.
Coming out of Angeles Forrest Highway toward Palmdale (So. Cal.), there's a straight about 2+ miles long.

I laid down on my R1's tank and rolled the throttle coming out of the last curve.

Deciding it was about time to slow down for the next turn and some populated areas, I eased the throttle back...slowed to what I thought was about 75mph and sat up.

I'm 6" and about 240lbs...bout blew me off the back of the bike.
After squeezing the grips hard to hold me in place, I looked down and noticed I was still doing the high side of 120.

Now...I look at the speedometer..."before" sitting up..!

Then...there was the time, same location, with the Cop coming the other direction....
