Sportster:

There has been some talk on another forum of figuring out a way to do that, but keeping the headlights. A couple of us have ridden without the inner airbox lid finding that the increased air flow has given real "seat of the pants dyno" gains below 120mph. I can personally attest that over 130mph, the ram air effect makes a huge difference in power. I'll be looking into ways to better the stock config soon.

That pic kinda scares me, hahaha.

(Also interesting are the radiator cutouts...better cooling I assume???)

Those radiator pod cuts suggest a re-worked pod-box with reversed airflow. If not, the cooling would suck.

So...what if the airflow was reversed...simply by reversing the fan polarity and cutting up the pod? Better cooling?

Drawkward, can't comment on if reversing the airflow will improve cooling - but it could well improve the engine running as less warm air will be drawn into the airbox.

Just a note on a comment above. The rads have been forward facing since the 1125RR, but they are split, not front mounted. It is not possible to fit a radiator between the headers and the front tire at full compression.
