Hi all,

Thanks for the help last time. I have another questions. At low speeds in low gears I hear a whining sound that sounds like a transmission gear. I thought it might be the oil so I checked it. It was ok. I then put some belt lube thinking that might be it. No difference, but I didn't put very much lube. Does anyone else have this and what should I do about this whining?

Thanks
Peter

Make sure your belt guard is not rubbing on the belt. You can either pry the guard over a little or add a washer to move it outboard.

On acceleration or deceleration? Or both?

Toothed belts will have a certain 'whine' associated with them. Also, the motor's valve train is partly driven by gears, another possible source of what your hearing.

Both in acceleration and deceleration.

Should have asked this as well, my apologies. Does it do it with the clutch pulled in?

Ratsmc,

I think so. I'll have to check to be sure...
