If it's baked on really bad like mine was, the ONLY thing that got it off was Westley's Bleche Wite. Spray it on...watch it melt off the brake dust and other nasties, spray it off with a hose. For really tough spots like the inner brake rotor and wheel "hub" area on the exhaust side, spray some on and scrub with a paper towel or soft brush. It's originally made for taking off brake dust and other crap on tires but works like a dream on heavily sooted wheels. I hadn't cleaned mine in 2000 miles and this was just some Bleche Wite and a towel:  | ||

FWIW, The Bleach White says it's not recommended for painted/ powder coated wheels, it does work well but may discolor/ dull the powder coat. This material has a ph of 12-13 which says it's REAL mean stuff EXTREMELY corrosive. The S100 works well, Honda spray polish and WD-40 also works well. | ||

Whatever you use make sure that you flush REAL good with plenty of water. I would recommend using either product per the manufacturers suggestion or....... I have seen some of these products discolor and stain other Buell powder coated wheels. Later | ||

A Mothers power ball works really well. I use it on my wheels once a week with Armor all on the ball. It helps it shine and it leaves enough of a residue to make it easier the next time you use it.  | ||

I haven't had any problems whatsoever with the Bleche Wite. I sprayed it on, let it sit a minute then power washed it off. Got the wheels very clean. Use at your own discretion obviously. Used both Simple Green and Purple power at full strength and neither one did ANYTHING to the baked on crap. | ||

Believe it or not, the Harley wheel cleaner does a pretty decent job. | ||

I use the Westley's bleche-wite after every ride just make sher you hose it off good. Now when I want them to look like the day I got them I use no7 polishing compound it takes the brake dust off with little to no effort. | ||

I use purple power or Bleche Wite to do the tough jobs, but you MUST get it all off fairly quickly or risk discoloring the finish. I spray PP under the engine, let it sit for a miinute, and power wash the bike. It takes all the crud out of the nooks of the bike. You need to be more careful with the washer than the solvent. A minute or two won't be an issue, but it sure works great! | ||
